At KITES Senior Care we encourage active ageing & empowering the seniors. We conduct regular events and activities covering both medical and non-medical topics with an objective of providing a knowledge platform to the elderly. These sessions are conducted by doctors and experts in the respective fields.
An interactive session at Primus Reflection Senior Living
An interactive session was organised by KITES on 21st September at Primus Reflection Senior Living. The discussion was about ‘WIll and Its Importance’ with a leading advocate of High Court, Sujatha Jinesh BA LLB, Partner at S J Law Associates. The residents had a great conversation with the guest speaker. The session was well-received by the residents at the Senior Living community.
A Day Trip to Shathayu Ayurvedic Yoga Retreat -II
A day trip was organized by KITES Senior Care for the members of our Primus Reflection Senior Living residents to “Shathayu Ayurvedic Yoga Retreat “, India’s Best Naturopathy and Wellness Retreat near Bengaluru. This was a part of the holistic well-being initiatives of KITES Senior Care. Members who attended this were happy to participate in yoga, understanding their body better, enjoyed the sattvic food, and the trip was a memorable one. All the members are excited to have more such trips.
Financial Investment & Planning
An interactive session about Financial investment and planning by Dattatreya and Rachna Rego of Right Horizons Investment Advisory Services Pvt Ltd. The residents of our senior living were made aware about what works well for them and most important how one should diversify the financial investment but also explore and reach out to right advisors before deciding.
Session On Cognitive Changes
An interactive session about Cognitive changes , awareness and symptoms held at Eden on 19th July by Dr Kumudwathi, family physician at KITES Senior Care. The residents of our senior living were made aware about what congnitive changes mean, how does it start and how does one recognize it, and what are the things we should do everyday to keep our grey matter active.
A Day Trip to Shathayu Ayurvedic Yoga Retreat
A day trip was organized for the members of our Senior Living residents of KITES to “Shathayu Ayurvedic Yoga Retreat “, India’s Best Naturopathy, and Wellness Retreat near Bengaluru. A talk about Dengue –Symptoms & Management
An interactive session held at our Senior Living facility about Dengue and awareness on its symptoms and management on 10th July with Dr Sumana Roy. The residents of our senior living were made aware of what dengue is, how it starts, how one can recognize, and what should be done to recover faster, once diagnosed. This session proved to be an informative discussion as the senior residents received sound knowledge on this viral disease.
Legal Rights of the Elders
An Interactive Session was organised by KITES on 29th June in Eden Senior Living. The discussion was about “Legal Rights of the Elders” with a leading advocate of High Court, Naveen Gudikote, Partner at RMN Legal. Residents had conversations from the Hindu Succession Act to the importance of a Will and Maintenance and Welfare of Seniors Act. It was well received by the residents at the Senior Living community.
World Yoga Day Celebration at KITES Senior Care
At KITES Senior Care, we celebrated World International yoga day conducted by Yogacharya Sri Nagaraj with our members and many seniors. Where some of the participators have limited mobility, we were overwhelmed with their keenness to participate in the program. Guru Sri Nagaraj designed yoga for elders, inclusive of Chair yoga. He discussed many benefits of yoga with our members.
Annual Health Checkup and Its Importance
An interactive session held on 22nd March about ‘Annual Health Checkup and Its Importance’ at KITES Senior Care with by Dr Reema. Regular health check-ups are essential because they help identify potential problems at an early stage. Members joined in a large number and asked questions about the importance of maintaining a regular health checkup in senior living and graceful ageing. The discussion covered a few topics on how often should elders do the checkup and would once a year be enough or should they do bi-annual.
