Position Summary
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centric clinical care at the unit. This role encompasses both clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring the well-being and dignity of all residents through continuous medical oversight, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ethical care delivery. The CMO leads the clinical team and sets standards for care, documentation, and medical governance, while actively supporting patient families and maintaining regulatory compliance. The position is central to maintaining a culture of clinical excellence, safety, and compassion across the community.
Core Responsibilities
1. Clinical Leadership

Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care with strong clinical outcomes.

Lead individualized care planning with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, therapy, dietary).

Conduct clinical rounds, manage escalations, and coordinate with physicians for ongoing care.

Ensure accurate documentation and clear communication with patients and families.

Provide emergency guidance to nursing teams and support preventive health initiatives.
2. Administrative & Managerial

Train and upskill clinical staff; lead audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance management of healthcare teams.

Ensure compliance with SOPs, NABH/JCI standards, and regulatory requirements.

Manage clinical operations, budgets, and contribute to organizational strategy.
3. Strategic & Community Engagement

Drive innovation in care delivery (telemedicine, digital health, geriatric care).

Build partnerships with healthcare institutions and represent the organization in forums.

Promote preventive health, wellness programs, and community engagement initiatives.
